- Breed Specific Seminar Venue: Great Alne & Kinwarton Memorial Hall. The speaker
who will provide a short history of the breed and demonstrate the Breed
standard will be Mr Jeff Horswell and the Seminar
is aimed at enabling prospective judges of the breed achieve the relevant
criteria for the C through to A3 FSS List. (for more details contact the

session with heart specialist David Fisher for 4 hours during the show (open

November 2013 - Field Trial - Venue: New Farm, Norton, Nr. Evesham, Worcs, WR11 4TN Diary of Events 2013 - 90th Anniversary Celebrations
2013 is
the 90th Anniversary of the formation of the Field Spaniel Society and the Committee
and Officers are intending to celebrate this anniversary with a number of
events throughout the year. WELKS holds significant historical affection,
with the Society having held AGM’s and Committee Meetings there in the past
and it is coincidental that Gundog day at the 2013 Show is as near to the
actual anniversary date itself, which was the 25th April 1923. To
commence the Society’s 90th Anniversary celebrations in 2013 we are running a
special “90th Anniversary” Open Show at WELKS on Friday 26th April 2013. This
special Show will commence early afternoon after the judging of Field
Spaniels at WELKS has been completed and we have had some time to participate
in “celebration” food and drink. We are delighted to confirm that Liz Fanshawe has accepted our invitation to judge the Show,
Liz having been one of the original members of the Society when it reformed
back in 1969, and there will be twelve classes held – Schedules are available We want to
encourage everyone to get in “CELEBRATION” mood as soon as possible. As
mentioned before, further events are being planned throughout the year
especially at our Championship Show in June, and the Open Show in November
and, again, we shall keep you all informed of the details as soon as
possible. In the
meantime, HAPPY 90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS in 2013

meeting for the Society to be announced. If you wish any items to be placed
on the agenda they must be made in writing to the Secretary.
